Description

Whoa, this took time. So, this guys are my favourite band, the Wise Guys from Germany! They sing a capella, means without instruments. And they are awesome :D

I always wanted to go to a concert of them but it was kinda impossible for me because back then I lived in Spain, so when I got the ticket some months ago it so totally made my day! And now I'm back from the concert and can't sleep because of all the awesomeness^^ I got to gave them the original drawing and kept a signed copy, it was simply great. I got some photos with them too, sadly, Ferenc was kinda ill and had to leave early, so I didn't get a photo with him. But I wish he recovers soon =)

Enough ranting, now to the picture!
First time working with A3 (180 gsm paper), yay! I still have some problems with blending with tissues, but I'm really happy with the result.
Every Wise Guy took about six to seven hours to draw, Sari's and Eddi's hair (top and bottom right) was the part I enjoyed most, Dän's (the guy at the right) hair was the most difficult because it's blond and curly, it took me four hours :o . But I still enjoy drawing hair most, together with the skin. The clothes were a pain, because I didn't have always the time to get drawing and therefore I couldn't always draw the tiny details, and that bugs me. But whatever, I'm glad it still turned out good.

References token from their page: [link] and mixed together in photoshop to get good references that weren't overlighted like the photos. Here and there I even had to make things up^^

And my tools of trade: Faber-Castell graphite pencils and colour pencils for the eyes, mechanical pencils (one of them broke T.T), kneadable and regular eraser (I found a pencil-eraser and that's even better to make the highlights with than with the kneadable eraser) and some tissues and blending sticks.

For :iconcritique-it:
I can't change the errors now but I'd still like to know if there's something wrong with the picture... I'm not sure about the white bg (I had no time to draw something, I didn't know what to draw on it and I'm not sure if it would have distracted from the main focus) and about some of the shadings in the skins. Any suggestions?
Also, I'm having trouble with blending with tissues, because they leave tiny marks in the paper impossible to get rid of, as if the "top layer" of the paper would break (I dunno if you understand what I'm telling here, but if you have this problem too I think you know what I mean). Do you know any solutions?

Goes without saying that this picture is dedicated to the Wise Guys. Keep up that wonderful work!

Wow, das ist echt klasse!
Besonders Dän ist irre gut getroffen. Klar, die anderen auch, aber Dän extrem. Weiter so!
